Dr. Giovanni Campanile

Dr. Giovanni Campanile is a Harvard-trained cardiologist and a leader in integrative and preventive heart health. He previously served as the director of the Dean Ornish Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation Program and the director of Integrative Nutrition and Integrative Cardiology at the Chambers Center for Well-Being.

Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Integrative and Holistic Medicine, Dr. Campanile is also an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He has trained cardiologists at Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC, Columbia University, Mount Sinai, and Miami.

As a researcher at the world-renowned Framingham Heart Study, Dr. Campanile has contributed to groundbreaking cardiovascular research. He has also collaborated on integrative health studies with the National Institutes of Health, Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, Duke University, and Yale University. Notably, he served as a cardiologist for former U.S. President George H.W. Bush and has been a contributing editor and medical writer for Shape and Men’s Fitness magazines.

With over 20 years of experience in Integrative and Clinical Cardiology, Dr. Campanile has been an advisory board member at Bastyr University and an instructor of nutrition, herbology, and integrative medicine at Florida Atlantic University. He is also a certified aromatherapist and has been recognized multiple times as a “Top Doctor” in cardiology by New Jersey Monthly Magazine.

Dr. Campanile's practice is rooted in the belief that nutrition and lifestyle are the cornerstones of heart health. His focus is on prevention, disease reversal, and extending healthspan through a holistic, patient-centered approach. He and his wife Dr. Sandra Cammarata have written the book Sicilian Secret Diet Plan and co-host their Sicilian Secret Diet podcast.
